Arsene Wenger admits Arsenal talks

Former manager Arsene Wenger reveals that he has previously held talks with Arsenal regarding a potential return to the Emirates Stadium.

Arsene Wenger has said that he currently has no plans to return to Arsenal in any capacity, despite holding talks with the club.

The Frenchman was replaced by Unai Emery last summer after bringing his long-term association with the Gunners to an end.

Despite having been linked with a wide range of positions, the veteran remains out of work as he continues to contemplate his next move.

However, while holding discussions over a potential reunion with the Premier League outfit, it appears that nothing is currently in the offing.

The 69-year-old told beIN Sports: "I have been in touch with some people at the club but I felt when you go like that you cannot be half in, half out. You let people who come in work their way, and I wanted to take a complete distance.

"It's still a bit early, maybe, to go back. I haven't been back at the club."

Wenger took charge of 1,235 competitive fixtures at Arsenal, winning 707 and losing 248.
