Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger confirms that Abou Diaby and Andre Santos are closing in on returns to the Gunners side.

Arsenal are due a double injury boost with Abou Diaby and Andre Santos expected to return to the Gunners side for the remainder of the season.

The North London side, who have been plagued by injuries throughout this year's campaign, are ready to welcome back Diaby - who has been suffering from a hamstring injury - as well as Santos, who broke his ankle in December.

"Diaby is not far [away]," manager Arsene Wenger told the club's official website. "Santos I think will play on Wednesday night in the Reserves against West Brom. He will need 90 minutes. Diaby should be back for Everton, he has a little chance."

The Gunners are now one point below third-placed rivals Tottenham Hotspur after the side's 2-1 victory over Newcastle United last night.
