Arsenal board in row over O'Leary appointment?

The Arsenal hierarchy have reportedly become embroiled in a dispute over whether to appoint David O'Leary in a role behind the scenes.

With the Gunners struggling in the Premier League this season, there have been suggestions that a change should be made in the dugout.

However, according to the Daily Mail, the most imminent development could come behind the scenes with chairman Sir Chips Keswick keen to use former player O'Leary in a football consultancy role.

The report claims that the suggestion has not gained full approval, however, with head of football Raul Sanllehi said to be against the proposal.

Sanllehi allegedly feels that the arrival of O'Leary - also an ex-manager of Leeds United and Aston Villa - is unnecessary at this present time.

O'Leary is already involved at Arsenal as a club ambassador.
