How Arsenal could line up against Leicester City

Sports Mole looks at how Arsenal could line up for Wednesday's EFL Cup third-round tie against fellow Premier League side Leicester City.

Arsenal will be looking to maintain their perfect start to the 2020-21 campaign when they take on Leicester City for a place in round four of the EFL Cup.

The Gunners snatched a late 2-1 win against West Ham United on Saturday to make it back-to-back victories in the Premier League.

Mikel Arteta's side also beat Liverpool on penalties in the Community Shield last month - the second piece of silverware Mikel Arteta has lifted in nine months at the club.

With a trip to champions Liverpool to come next weekend, Arteta is expected to make mass changes to his starting lineup for Wednesday's cup tie.

Eddie Nketiah is one of those who is likely to profit from the rotation, having scored Arsenal's late winner against West Ham at the weekend.

The versatile Bukayo Saka may be drafted into attack, with Nicolas Pepe - a substitute in the Gunners' first two league matches - on the opposite flank.

Mesut Ozil is another possible option for Arteta, but the German playmaker has not been included in the squad so far this season and that is unlikely to change here.

Elsewhere, Matt Macey is expected to start in goal, although that could change if Dijon goalkeeper Runar Alex Runarsson joins before the cut-off point.

With four defenders still nursing injuries, David Luiz may have to return to the starting lineup sooner than Arteta perhaps would have liked.
