Arsenal are reportedly still sweating over the fitness of midfielder Aaron Ramsey ahead of the EFL Cup final with Manchester City at Wembley.

Arsenal are reportedly still sweating over the fitness of midfielder Aaron Ramsey ahead of Sunday's EFL Cup final against Manchester City at Wembley.

Ramsey netted his first career hat-trick in a convincing win over Everton earlier this month, but the Wales international has missed both of Arsenal's matches since then due to a groin injury.

Manager Arsene Wenger confirmed last week that Ramsey was a doubt for the final, and his fitness remains a major question mark just a matter of days before the trip to Wembley.

The 27-year-old is due to undergo a period of intense treatment in an attempt to get back ahead of schedule, but he is still considered a big doubt for the showdown with Pep Guardiola's treble-chasers.

Arsenal will be particularly keen to see Ramsey recover considering his past record at the national stadium, where he has scored the winning goal in the 2014 and 2017 FA Cup finals.
