Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere feels "positive" about fitness return

Jack Wilshere is confident about a "positive future" after recovering from his latest injury setback.

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is confident that he has a "positive future" after stepping up his recovery from an ankle injury.

The England international has spent numerous stints on the sidelines with injuries throughout his career.

The 23-year-old's latest setback has kept him on the treatment table since November, but he managed to score in a friendly against Brentford on Tuesday.

On Instagram, Wilshere wrote: "Felt good to play my first game since November, finally I can practise with the team everyday and look forward to a positive future.....thanks for all your support during my injury trust me it helps!"

Wilshere is unlikely to play in this weekend's clash against Liverpool at the Emirates.
