Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Southampton

Arsenal injury, suspension list vs. Southampton

Arsenal will be bidding to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they travel to Southampton on Saturday afternoon.

The Gunners will enter the contest off the back of a 2-1 defeat at home to Brighton & Hove Albion, which has left them in fifth spot in the table, three points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.

Mikel Arteta's side also lost 3-0 at Crystal Palace on April 4, winning just one of their last four matches during a disappointing run of league form.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the showdown with Southampton, who currently sit 14th in England's top flight.

Takehiro Tomiyasu

Takehiro Tomiyasu will again be unavailable for selection against Southampton, with the defender not due back in training with the Gunners until after the clash with the Saints.

Thomas Partey had to be replaced against Palace after aggravating a thigh injury, and the midfielder is now facing a period on the sidelines due to the muscular damage.

Arsenal will be without the services of Kieran Tierney for the remainder of the season, as the Scotland international recovers from an operation on a knee injury.
