SM Football Shorts: Who has overachieved and underachieved in the Premier League?

To continue our countdown towards the resumption of the Premier League season, Sports Mole looks at which teams have overachieved and underachieved so far in 2019-20.

The countdown to the resumption of the Premier League season continues, with top-flight action returning in England on Wednesday, June 17 - more than three months after the last fixture in the competition.

Sheffield United travel to Aston Villa in the first match back, and Chris Wilder's side have been one of the stories of the season so far as they push for Europe in their first campaign back in the big time.

The Blades are by no means the only overachievers in the league, though, while at the other end of the scale there are teams that have fared a lot worse than many expected at the start of the season.

West Ham United, Everton, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are also in that conversation, and all of them will be hoping that the enforced break in play allows them to start afresh and finish the season on a high.

Listen below as Sports Mole Editor Barney Corkhill and Football Editor Matt Law discuss which teams have surpassed expectations, and which teams have disappointed the most.
