Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger expresses his disappointment at the fact that his side were not awarded a penalty against Swansea City.

Arsene Wenger has criticised referee Howard Webb for failing to give his Arsenal team a penalty during today's FA Cup encounter with Swansea City.

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey went to ground in the second half, resulting in a number of his teammates appealing to Webb to award a penalty. The English official refused to blow up though and allowed the match to continue.

Reflecting on Webb's decision, Wenger believes that a penalty was not given because the referee viewed the offence to be "accidental".

"It was a penalty and the referee saw it, you know why he did not give it? Because he thought the guy had not done it on purpose, and I think as well it was accidental," Wenger told reporters.

"But he did not trip himself, he was caught clearly by the leg of the Swansea player. The referee hesitated and he did not give it."

The match ended in a 2-2 draw.
