Gabriel: 'Arsenal are gunning for Bayern Munich again'

Gabriel Paulista warns Bayern Munich that Arsenal travel to the Allianz Arena looking to beat the Bundesliga giants again and keep alive their Champions League hopes.

Gabriel Paulista has warned Bayern Munich that Arsenal fully intend on resuming their great escape in the Champions League by beating the Germans again next week.

The Gunners, who lost their first two Group F outings, threw themselves a major lifeline by recording a 2-0 win over Pep Guardiola's men at the Emirates last month.

With Arsene Wenger's side still bottom of the pool, Arsenal need lightning to strike twice on Wednesday to preserve their last-16 hopes, and Gabriel says that beating Bayern in their own backyard is on the agenda.

"When we play away, we also have to have a slightly different outlook, but that doesn't mean we will spend the whole game defending," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.

"We are a big team, we are Arsenal and we need to attack because we need the result, but we need to attack with intelligence and make sure we don't suffer a defeat and complicate our situation for the rest of our competition."

Bayern and Olympiacos occupy the top two spots in the group on six points apiece, with Dinamo Zagreb and Arsenal three points adrift in third and fourth place.

The North Londoners thumped Swansea City 3-0 in Wales on Saturday to stay behind top-of-the-Premier League Manchester City on goal difference.
