Everton, Crystal Palace and Fulham are reportedly eyeing up Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi ahead of the summer transfer window.

Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is reportedly wanted by three Premier League clubs this summer.

The 28-year-old is expected to depart the King Power Stadium, with the player having a £9m release clause following the Foxes' relegation to the Championship.

Ndidi was one described as one of the best midfielders in the Premier League by former head coach Brendan Rodgers, impressing in the East Midlands over a eight-year spell.

The Nigeria international has been a regular under both Steve Cooper and Ruud van Nistelrooy this term, featuring across 25 top-flight battles.

Following a narrow defeat to league winners Liverpool on April 20, Leicester's immediate return to the second tier of English football was confirmed.

Leicester man Ndidi wanted by three PL clubs?

According to talkSPORT, Ndidi could be handed a top-tier lifeline during the summer transfer window as he enters the latter stages of his career.

The report claims that a Premier League trio of Crystal Palace, Fulham and Everton are all keen on securing the services of the 28-year-old in the near future.

As well as a host of English clubs, there is supposedly interest from the Middle East, where Al Ahli are planning improvements to their squad.

However, it is understood that the Saudi Pro League club are in the early stages of a possible swoop for Ndidi, who is yet to open talks with the potential suitor.

The former Genk man has a contract until the summer of 2027 at the King Power Stadium, although a premature exit is on the cards this summer.

Leicester's Championship future

With only Jamie Vardy, Daniel Iversen and Danny Ward out of contract in the summer, Leicester have the opportunity to retain a good chunk of their squad for next term.

Ndidi has been part of the furniture at Filbert Way for the majority of the last decade, winning the FA Cup and promotion with the Foxes.

Should they manage to retain key players, Leicester will be one of the favourites for automatic promotion, regardless of who occupies the managerial hotseat.
