Frank de Boer extends Ajax deal

Ajax coach Frank de Boer has committed his future to the club by signing a new contract at the Amsterdam ArenA.

His previous deal had been due to expire this summer, but he will now remain with the Dutch champions until July 2017.

"This new contract is exactly what I wanted. I'm here enjoying myself and my family is happy here. I see enough challenges here," the 43-year-old told the club's official website.

"We reached an agreement quickly, because of both sides, we are very satisfied. Now I can follow up on where we are with each other and I have started looking forward to it."

De Boer has guided Ajax to three successive league titles.
