League Two roundup: Oxford United capitalise on Fleetwood Town slip

Sports Mole rounds up Saturday's action from League Two on a day when 27 goals were scored in 11 matches.

Oxford United replaced Fleetwood Town at the top of the League Two table on Saturday.

Chasing their fifth consecutive win in all competitions, Fleetwood fell to a 1-0 defeat at bottom side Northampton Town, as Luke Norris netted a last-minute winner for the Cobblers.

Oxford won 3-1 at Mansfield Town, who had to play for over an hour with 10 men after Jamie McGuire was sent off for the seventh time in his career.

Scott Rigg and Ryan Williams were on the scoresheet for Oxford, while James Constable also found the net to become just the second player to score 100 goals for the U's.

Chesterfield and Rochdale both moved above Fleetwood after securing away wins at Torquay United and Morecambe respectively.

Elsewhere, Portsmouth's large following were forced to endure a disappointing afternoon at Kingsmeadow, where AFC Wimbledon ran out 4-0 winners with goals from Sammy Moore, Michael Smith and an Andy Frampton brace.

Dagenham & Redbridge continued their fine home record with a 2-0 win over Burton Albion, as Zavon Hines and Luke Howell were on target.

Southend United won at Exeter City, while Accrington Stanley claimed all three points at Scunthorpe United.

Cheltenham Town ended their three-match winless streak by recording a victory at Wycombe Wanderers.

Finally, Bristol Rovers and Bury played out a 1-1 draw, which was also the score at Bootham Crescent, where York City were held by Plymouth Argyle.
