AC Milan to move for Ashley Cole?

AC Milan are reportedly preparing a January bid for Chelsea defender Ashley Cole.

The 31-year-old will be out of contract next summer and talks over a new deal at Stamford Bridge have stalled.

The England defender reportedly wants to sign a long-term contract, but Chelsea are only prepared to offer the left-back a one-year extension.

According to Goal.com, Milan will move for Cole in the next transfer window as they attempt to improve their faltering defence.

Cole has previously admitted a desire to try his hand abroad.
