Nigel de Jong keen on new AC Milan deal

AC Milan midfielder Nigel de Jong has revealed that he hopes to sign a new contract with the Serie A club.

The 29-year-old Netherlands international is due to be a free agent at the end of the season.

While talks are yet to take place between the relevant parties, De Jong is hopeful that he can extend his stay at the San Siro.

"I'm happy here in Milan," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "I don't see any problems for a renewal. Let's hope we still have time."

De Jong joined Milan from Manchester City in 2012.
