Wolverhampton Wanderers playmaker Morgan Gibbs-White has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for AC Milan.
Instead of remaining as a squad player at Molineux during 2021-22, the academy graduate was allowed to spend the campaign on loan at Sheffield United.
The 22-year-old subsequently enjoyed the best season of his career, contributing 12 goals and 10 assists from 37 appearances in the Championship.
As it stands, the plan is for Gibbs-White to spend pre-season at his parent club with the view of becoming a more important part of Bruno Lage's first-team squad.
However, according to The Athletic, the versatile forward's performances have not gone unnoticed on the continent with Milan said to have made a "tentative enquiry".
Although the interest has allegedly gone no further, it is an indication that Gibbs-White has become more widely known outside of England at a time when he has just two years left on his contract.
Despite his wide array of admirers at Bramall Lane, Sheffield United will not be able to push forward with a permanent bid after missing out on a return to the Premier League.
