Easter Sunday's Serie A predictions including AC Milan vs. Atalanta BC

Empoli vs. Venezia (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Two teams scrapping for their Serie A survival will clash on Sunday, as Empoli host Venezia at Stadio Carlo Castellani.

Both two points adrift of safety, the Azzurri have been sinking for several months while their Venetian visitors are showing signs of revival.

We say: Empoli 1-1 Venezia

One of the worst home sides in Serie A, Empoli cannot buy a win at the Castellani, and draw specialists Venezia are set to stop them on Sunday.

The visitors are enjoying their best run of the season, so they can claim at least one point against direct relegation rivals.

Bologna vs. Inter Milan (Sunday, 5.00pm)

After booking a spot in the final four of Europe's top competition, Inter Milan return to their Serie A title defence on Sunday evening, as they meet Bologna at Stadio Dall'Ara.

In midweek, Inter beat Bayern Munich over two legs to reach the Champions League semi-finals; now, they continue their quest to retain the Scudetto.

We say: Bologna 1-1 Inter Milan

Demonstrating their resilience, Bologna have won the most points from losing positions in Serie A this season (17) - but their latest visitors have yet to lose after leading.

So, even if the Rossoblu get their noses in front against a tired Inter team, the points could be shared. In the circumstances, that suits neither side.

AC Milan vs. Atalanta (Sunday, 7.45pm)

Separated by 10 points in the Serie A standings, Lombardy rivals AC Milan and Atalanta BC meet at San Siro on Sunday.

While the visitors are still fighting for a top-four finish, Milan's hopes of returning to the Champions League are almost over - despite winning 4-0 in Udine last time out.

We say: AC Milan 2-1 Atalanta BC

Both clubs play their first Easter Sunday fixture in Serie A since 1978, with either side desperately seeking consistency.

In better form than Atalanta, Milan rank second for points retrieved from losing positions, so they can overcome any early hiccups and produce another comeback win.
