Silvestre suffers thigh strain

AC Milan defender Matias Silvestre has been ruled out of action for up to three weeks with a thigh strain.

The 29-year-old Argentine, on loan from rivals Inter Milan, withdrew from training today, adding to Massimiliano Allegri's injury woes.

At present, Sulley Muntari, Cristian Zaccardo, Robinho, Mattia De Sciglio, Giampaolo Pazzini and Marco Amelia are all nursing problems in the run-up to the winter break.

Silvestre has started five games for the Rossoneri this season.
