Filippo Inzaghi: "Everything went wrong"

AC Milan manager Filippo Inzaghi bemoans his side's injury problems following their 1-1 draw with Empoli.

AC Milan manager Filippo Inzaghi has said that his side are going through a "complicated time" following their 1-1 draw with Empoli in Serie A this afternoon.

Debutant striker Mattia Destro gave the Rossoneri the lead, but Massimo Maccarone levelled the scores and Milan managed to hold on for a point despite seeing goalkeeper Diego Lopez shown a straight red card.

"We should not speak of bad luck, it's a complicated time for us. We have lots of injuries and today everything went wrong," Inzaghi told Sky Sport Italia. "Alex went off after just a few minutes and we knew it would be a difficult game because they are very good.

"We went ahead after a balanced first half but you can't score a goal like we did when you're already ahead.

"We could have wrapped things up if we were a bit more careful but now we look forward and hope to have some players return for the upcoming games."

Today's result means that Milan have won just one of their past six games.
