Filippo Inzaghi: 'AC Milan will be ready'

AC Milan head coach Filippo Inzaghi has said that he is confident his team will be ready for the new Serie A season despite making a disappointing start to their pre-season campaign.

The Rossoneri lost 3-0 to Olympiacos in their International Champions Cup opener before being beaten 5-1 by Manchester City on Sunday.

Inzaghi told La Gazzetta dello Sport: "We're working to make a good impression in the summer friendlies, but to be ready in late August. I am sure that we will succeed."

Milan take on Liverpool on Saturday in the final game of their North America tour.
