Team News: Mario Balotelli, Stephen El Shaarawy start for Ajax clash

Stephen El Shaarawy earns his first starting berth in three months for the clash with Ajax in the Champions League tonight.

AC Milan striker Stephen El Shaarawy is poised to start his first match since September for the visit of Ajax in the Champions League tonight.

The 21-year-old, who recently returned from a three-month lay-off through injury, is poised to partner Mario Balotelli in attack as the Rossoneri seek the point necessary to secure their progression to the last-16 stage.

Coach Massimiliano Allegri names six changes in total from the side that drew 2-2 with Livorno on Saturday, with Sulley Muntari and Riccardo Montolivo among those recalled to the first XI.

Meanwhile, Ajax boss Frank de Boer has named Bojan Krkic in his team for the trip to Milan.

The former Barcelona youth spent a loan spell with Milan and will partner Davey Klaassen - who hit a hat-trick in the 4-0 win over NAC Breda on Saturday - as the focal point of attack.

AC Milan: Abbiati; de Sciglio, Zapata, Constant, Bonera; Muntari, Montolivo, de Jong, Kaka; Balotelli, El Shaarawy

Ajax: Cillessen; van Rhijn, Moisander, Blind, Denswil; Poulsen, Schone, Serero, Fisher; Bojan, Klaassen
