Steve Coppell joins Indian Super League side ATK

Former Crystal Palace boss Steve Coppell has been appointed as the new manager of Indian Super League side ATK.

The Englishman joins the two-time champions off the back of spells with Kerala Blasters and Jamshedpur FC in the same division.

"I am delighted to accept the position of head coach for ATK for the coming season," said Coppell in a press statement issued by ATK.

"ATK have a proud history in the ISL and I hope that with the hard work and skill, we can match the ambitions of our fans and everyone associated with the club."

Wally Downes will serve as Coppell's assistant at ATK and Bobby Mimms has been appointed as the team's goalkeeper coach.
