Danny Green re-signs with San Antonio Spurs

The San Antonio Spurs retain the services of free agent Danny Green after the point guard agrees a new deal with the NBA franchise.

San Antonio Spurs point guard Danny Green has re-signed with the NBA franchise instead of opting to continue as a free agent.

The Spurs have wrapped up a deal to keep Green at the Silver after he shone last season with a career-best average of 11.7 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.0 assists across 81 games.

The deal will ensure that the Spurs are covered in the guard spot for next season with a player that became the only man to average at least one steal and one block per game in the 2014-15 campaign.

Green has spent five seasons with San Antonio, having originally joined as a free agent back in 2011.
