Knicks fall to 10th defeat in 12 games

The New York Knicks fell to their 10th loss in 12 games as they were beaten 114-73 by the Boston Celtics at Madison Square Garden on Sunday.

The Celtics turned in an impressive performance to help themselves pull away into a huge 25-point lead after the first quarter and they never looked back from there on in.

Jordan Crawford was the main tormentor as he collected 23 points and seven assists, which included three six-pointers, while Jared Sullinger added 21 points and Avery Bradley 13.

The only bright spark for the Knicks came in the way of Carmelo Anthony, who notched up 19 points on 5-for-5 shooting, with Amar'e Stoudemire also tallying a season-best 17 points from the bench.

The Celtics are first in the Atlantic Division with a record of 10-12 for the season.
