Report: New York Knicks want to trade JR Smith

The New York Knicks will reportedly try to trade guard JR Smith.

The New York Knicks have reportedly decided to explore the trade market for JR Smith.

Sources claim that the team have become unhappy with the guard's on- and off-court behaviour according to ESPN, some of which resulted in a fine from the league earlier this week.

Head coach Mike Woodson said: "I'm not happy about this, because he was warned, he comes back and he makes the same mistake, and it's not right. It's just got to stop. I keep saying this every time something pops up, but it's got to stop."

Smith, who won the Sixth Man Award last season, cannot be traded until next Wednesday because of the team's salary cap situation.
