Golden State Warriors edge out Dallas Mavericks in overtime

Warriors edge out Mavericks in overtime

The Golden State Warriors narrowly beat the Dallas Mavericks 122-120 with a last-second basket in overtime.

The Warriors had to come from behind in the second half in regulation after the Mavericks dominated the second quarter, led by Dirk Nowitzki and Vince Carter.

However, Stephen Curry and Jermaine O'Neal combined for 21 points in the third to get the visitors back into contention, before the scores finished level at the end of the fourth.

Jose Calderon gave Dallas the lead, but Curry added a jump shot inside the final second to secure the win for the Warriors.

The defeat drops the Mavericks out of the playoff places, while the Warriors sit sixth in the Western Conference.
