NBA roundup: Golden State Warriors' unbeaten start continues

Sports Mole rounds up all the action from Friday's games in the NBA.

The Golden State Warriors have continued their unbeaten start to the 2015-16 NBA season, cruising to victory over the Denver Nuggets at the Oracle Arena.

Stephen Curry hit his stride early on as the defending champions thrashed their opponents in the first half, charging to a 30-point advantage at half time.

The Nuggets started to cut the gap after the break, with Danilo Galinari adding 25 points to leave Denver just 10 points down inside the final four minutes, but the Warriors had enough to keep themselves ahead.

The Cleveland Cavaliers remain unbeaten at home after winning a closely-fought game against the Philadelphia 76ers.

There was just a point between the two sides at the break, but LeBron James helped last season's beaten NBA finalists pull ahead in the third quarter on his way to finishing the game with 31 points.

Paul George led the Indiana Pacers to victory over the Miami Heat, scoring 36 points to leave both sides with 3-3 records after six games this season.

The guard, who missed most of last season with a broken leg, added 10 in the final quarter to give Indiana the lead, including a free throw with just over four seconds on the clock to put the win beyond doubt.

The Toronto Raptors slipped to their first defeat of the season as the Orlando Magic came from behind in the fourth quarter to secure their first win at home.

The Magic were five points down heading into the final 12 minutes, but Tobias Harris got the hosts back on level terms with five minutes remaining before continuing to add points, sealing the narrow win.

James Harden scored 43 to lead the Houston Rockets to a win over the Sacramento Kings, leaving the Rockets with a 3-3 after a slow start to the season.

The visitors started brightly, leading by 15 points during the first quarter before Sacramento made it close late on, but Harden added a run of points in the closing minutes to give Houston a third straight win.

The New Orleans Pelicans are yet to get off the mark this season as they were beaten by the Atlanta Hawks, despite Anthony Davis scoring 43 points for the home side.

Davis battled to get the Pelicans back into the game after Kyle Korver put the Hawks ahead in the first half, but the visitors were strong enough to keep themselves in front throughout, giving them a sixth straight win.

The Boston Celtics wrapped up a comfortable win over the Washington Wizards, dominating proceedings from the start to end a three-game losing streak.

Jared Sullinger and Isaiah Thomas combined for 37 points as the home side charged to a 15-point lead by the end of the first quarter, allowing them to cruise through the remainder of the meeting.

The Los Angeles Lakers secured their first win of the campaign, leaving the Brooklyn Nets still looking for their opening victory after six straight losses.

It looked like it would be the Nets who ended their winless run as Brook Lopez led them to a nine-point lead by the end of the first quarter, but Kobe Bryant got the visitors back into the game in the second, finishing the encounter with 18 points.

The Milwaukee Bucks held off a comeback from the New York Knicks to claim victory at Madison Square Garden, leaving the Knicks still looking for their first win at home.

The visiting side dominated the first half, leading by 14 points midway through the second quarter before the Knicks started to chip away at their lead after the interval, but John Henson and Giannis Antetokounmpo added 44 between them to keep Milwaukee ahead.

Marcus Morris scored 20 points against his former team to help the Detroit Pistons pick up a win over the Phoenix Suns.

Morris's twin brother Markieff Morris added 18 for Phoenix to keep the scores close heading into the fourth quarter, but Reggie Jackson scored 14 of his 23 points in the final period to ensure that the visitors saw out the win.
