Harrison Barnes expected to be fit for season-opener

Barnes expected to play opener

Mark Jackson has claimed that Golden State Warriors forward Harrison Barnes should be fit for the season-opener against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Barnes has not played in pre-season since injuring his foot earlier this month but Golden State head coach Jackson has revealed that the 21-year-old's condition has improved.

"I don't think it's too much of a concern, right now, of him not playing opening night," Jackson told CSNBayArea.com.

"We have some time left. We're taking steps toward him getting on the floor."

Barnes averaged 16.1 points per game in the playoffs for the Warriors last season.
