David Lee sidelined with hamstring injury

Golden State Warriors star David Lee aggravates his hamstring injury and is ruled out of the team's upcoming road trip.

Golden State Warriors star David Lee will miss the team's upcoming road trip when they play the Houston Rockets and Phoenix Suns this weekend.

Lee made his season debut against the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night, but he aggravated a hamstring problem and he played just seven minutes.

The two-time All-Star power forward sat out the first three games with the strain and he was scheduled to have an MRI scan on Thursday to reveal the extent of the damage.

"I just feel bad for David because he's had a great pre-season and he's worked so hard," coach Steve Kerr told reporters.

"You saw the impact he made on the game immediately, and for this to happen, I feel bad for him. Hopefully we get him back soon and he'll be back in the mix and we'll go from there."

Despite missing Lee, the Warriors are 4-0 to start the season which is their best start in 20 years as Draymond Green continues to deputise for him.
