Billy Vunipola: "Win is most important thing"

Billy Vunipola admits that the victory over Sale Sharks was "really tough", but shows his delight at claiming the points which keep Saracens' European hopes alive.

Billy Vunipola has said that Saracens will "live to fight another day" after edging out Sale Sharks 28-15 to climb to the top of the European Rugby Champions Cup Pool 1 standings.

The England international produced a man-of-the-match display at Vicarage Road on Saturday evening to lift Sarries up to the 13-point mark with two fixtures remaining.

"I think you saw how tough it was out there," Vunipola told the club's official website. "When we got ahead on the scoreboard Sale came back and scored points, it was a really tough contest and you wouldn't expect anything else in a European game.

"It was a massive game. It was a little disappointing that we didn't get a four try bonus point, but we'll live to fight another day. The win is the most important thing.

"Munster and Clermont had a really tough game last weekend, and now we've all lost one game. It's about us winning those remaining games, but we know it's going to get tougher from here."

Saracens turn their attention back to domestic action next weekend with a meeting against London Welsh in the Aviva Premiership.
