Sale Sharks sign former All Blacks lock Bryn Evans

Sale Sharks sign former New Zealand international Bryn Evans on a two-year deal.

Former All Blacks lock Bryn Evans has joined Sale Sharks on a two-year deal from Biarritz Olympique.

The twice-capped New Zealand international has spent the last three seasons in France following a move from London Irish.

Evans, who this season played in the division below the Top 14, will link up with Sale ahead of the new campaign.

"He's a tough nut and highly recommended by Dan Braid and Michael Paterson," Sharks director of rugby Steve Diamond is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.

"He played for London Irish for three years, captained them and he'll come and do a really good job I think."

Neil Briggs and Peter Stringer have already agreed to join Sale.
