Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has insisted that Cristiano Ronaldo has not asked to leave the club, amid fresh speculation linking him with a move to the Far East.
The 33-year-old, who has returned to his goalscoring best since the turn of the year, is rumoured to be on the radar of a number of Chinese Super League sides.
Ronaldo's former international manager Luiz Felipe Scolari added fuel to the fire earlier this week by claiming that the Portuguese superstar has asked about life in China, where Scolari spent two years in charge of Guangzhou Evergrande.
Pressed further on the links, though, Perez is quoted by AS as saying: "If you have a friend who lives in Hong Kong, you ask him how he is in Hong Kong, it's normal.
"He hasn't asked us to leave, he has a contract for another year but when the results are not great..."
Ronaldo has 37 goals in 35 matches for Madrid in all competitions this season.
