Late Aurelien Collin goal earns Orlando City point against New England Revolution

A late strike from Aurelien Collin earns Orlando City a point against the New England Revolution as their MLS clash ends 2-2 at the Citrus Bowl.

A stoppage-time equaliser from Aurelien Collin has earned Orlando City a point in their MLS clash against the New England Revolution.

The visitors took the lead in the 19th minute when Scott Caldwell pressured the City defence and won the ball to tee up Charlie Davies, who slotted an effort past Donovan Ricketts.

Orlando almost equalised within two minutes as the home side won a corner down the right. From Kaka's delivery Collin rose highest in the area, but he could only direct his header over the bar.

The hosts pressed again as another cross into the area found Seb Hines at the back post, but the defender's effort was tipped over the bar by Bobby Shuttleworth.

New England almost doubled their advantage before the break when London Woodberry lined up a strike only to see his effort clatter off the post, while Davies on the rebound hit the crossbar.

The Revolution did go two goals ahead in the second half when Kelyn Rowe seized on a mistake by Rafael Ramos as his attempted pass back to Ricketts was intercepted by the midfielder, who rounded the keeper to leave himself with a simple finish.

However, City got back into the match almost immediately as Ramos raided upfield and lifted a cross into the box for Cyle Larin, who powered a header into the top corner past Shuttleworth.

Orlando pushed for an equaliser late in the game and were rewarded in the 90th minute when Collin met a cross from Luke Boden to guide a headed effort into the net to earn his team a vital point.
