Leyton Orient ease past MK Dons

Leyton Orient finish third in League One with a 3-1 win against MK Dons this afternoon.

Leyton Orient eased past MK Dons 3-1 at Stadium MK in League One this afternoon.

Kevin Lisbie opened the scoring when he headed home Dean Cox's cross after 16 minutes for his 17th goal of the season.

Orient nearly profited from a goalmouth scramble early on, but Mathieu Baudry could only poke over the bar.

Ryan Hall has had a couple of decent efforts on goal, and his best chance came just after the half-hour mark when his strike was saved by Jamie Jones.

The Dons went close towards the end of the half but Izale McLeod's cross couldn't be met by Hall before Jordan Spence drilled wide.

With the first half petering out, Lisbie popped up with a cool finish to put his side in a commanding position at the break.

Orient extended their advantage after the restart when David Mooney curled a long-range effort past Charlie Burns to effectively end the game as a contest.

Burns had to be alert to keep the score down when John Lundstram sent a low shot goalwards on the hour mark.

Hall reduced the deficit with 12 minutes remaining when his deflected shot wrong-footed Jones.
