Manchester United have reportedly identified Ajax full-back Nicolas Tagliafico as a possible alternative to Porto's Alex Telles.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to bring in a new left-back this summer to provide more competition for Brandon Williams and Luke Shaw, the latter of whom has struggled with injuries in recent seasons.
Telles is thought to be United's top target in that position after missing out on Real Madrid's Sergio Reguilon to Tottenham Hotspur.
However, the Daily Mail reports that Tagliafico is also being considered by the United hierarchy, with the 28-year-old expected to be available for a similar price as Telles.
Ajax will reportedly demand around £23m for Tagliafico, whereas the Red Devils are hopeful of landing Telles for £20m due to him being in the final year of his contract.
Tagliafico has also been linked with Barcelona, Chelsea, Manchester City and Leicester City in recent months.
