Manchester United will have to battle three other clubs for the signature of Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani, according to a report.

Manchester United will reportedly face competition from three other clubs for Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani at the end of the 2019-20 campaign.

The Red Devils are allegedly keen to sign the Uruguay international on a free transfer this summer with his contract in Paris due to expire on June 30.

However, according to AS, the 20-time English champions will face competition from Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan and Boca Juniors.

The 33-year-old is PSG's all-time leading goalscorer with 200, while he has managed seven strikes in 22 outings this season despite struggling for a regular spot.

Any move for Cavani could depend on whether United attempt to sign Odion Ighalo, who joined on loan from Shanghai Shenhua in January, on a permanent deal.

The South American was strongly linked with a switch to Atletico during the January transfer window but was allegedly priced out of a move to the Wanda Metropolitano.
