Chelsea are reportedly currently running 'in-depth scouting' on Aurelien Tchouameni, as the Blues step up their interest in the Monaco midfielder ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 21-year-old has been in impressive form for his Ligue 1 club this summer, making 28 appearances in all competitions, while he was also a regular for France towards the end of last year.
Chelsea have been strongly linked with the midfielder in recent months, and according to Goal, Thomas Tuchel's side are now accelerating their interest in his services.
The report claims that the Frenchman is being heavily scouted, with his 'attitude and personal life' also being monitored ahead of a potential switch to Stamford Bridge later this year.
Chelsea will allegedly make a decision over whether to sign Tchouameni or West Ham United's Declan Rice this summer, depending on the latter's valuation.
The midfielder, who has also been linked with Manchester United, still has two-and-a-half years left to run on his contract with Monaco, having only joined the Ligue 1 club from Bordeaux in January 2020.
