Augusto Fernandez scores a late equaliser as Celta Vigo earn a surprising point away at high-flying Malaga.

Malaga missed the chance to regain their place in La Liga's top four on Saturday evening as they were held at home by Celta Vigo.

Martin Demichelis put the hosts ahead on 37 minutes, when he tapped home from very close range following Roque Santa Cruz's flick.

Malaga, who boast the best defensive record in Spain's top division, had looked to be well on course to record their first win in three games, until Augusto Fernandez struck a surprise leveller with 14 minutes remaining.

Celta Vigo remain in 17th position, two points clear of the relegation zone.
