Hamilton keep alive their hopes of earning promotion into the Scottish Premiership as the Accies record a 1-0 half-time lead over Hibernian.

Hamilton Academical have kept alive their hopes of earning promotion into the Scottish Premiership as the Accies recorded a 1-0 half-time lead over Hibernian.

Hibs, who still lead the tie 2-1 on aggregate courtesy of their 2-0 win in the first leg earlier this week, have seen their advantage halved courtesy of Jason Scotland's opener.

Scotland injected fresh life into Hamilton's promotion push on 13 minutes by turning his marker before he firing home the opening goal.

The top-flight outfit, who will be relegated if they lose the tie, would have re-established their two-goal cushion shortly before the break but Jason Cummings saw his header cleared off the line.
