Cordoba remain winless in Liga Liga following Real Sociedad draw

Cordoba and Real Sociedad play out a 1-1 draw to remain in and around the La Liga relegation zone.

Cordoba remain in the bottom three of La Liga despite rescuing a late 1-1 draw against Real Sociedad this evening.

Less than two minutes had passed when Inigo Martinez fired the visitors ahead with a perfectly-placed free kick, which left Juan Carlos helpless between the sticks.

Los Califas looked to hit back through Xisco's effort, but he could not find the target with his shot from inside the box, having been picked out by Fidel.

The game became scrappy in the final 10 minutes with referee Carlos Del Cerro brandishing four yellow cards, and the contest looked to be slipping away from Cordoba.

But with just three minutes of time remaining, Xisco converted in an unorthodox manner inside the six-yard box to level up the game and rescue his side a share of the spoils.

Sociedad drop to within one point of the relegation zone following the draw.
