Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly prepared to outbid Chelsea in the race for Inter Milan full-back Achraf Hakimi.
The Morocco international has affirmed in the past that he is happy with the Serie A champions, but speculation over a move elsewhere persists nonetheless.
Chelsea and PSG have been the two sides most strongly linked with a swoop, and Thomas Tuchel's team supposedly tabled an opening offer of €60m (£51.4m) plus Emerson Palmieri for the 22-year-old.
However, with Inter swiftly rejecting the Blues' offer, Foot Mercato now claims that PSG are readying a €70m (£60m) bid for Hakimi, but Chelsea are not prepared to give up easily.
The report adds that Chelsea are intending to come back with another player-plus-cash offer, but this time they will stump up €60m (£51.4m) plus Marcos Alonso, who is behind Ben Chilwell in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.
Hakimi ended a triumphant 2020-21 campaign with seven goals and 10 assists from 37 Serie A appearances, and his existing deal at San Siro does not expire until June 2025.
