Valencia have reportedly approached Arsenal over the possibility of signing Matteo Guendouzi.
The 21-year-old is widely expected to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer, having been frozen out by head coach Mikel Arteta in the latter stages of the 2019-20 season.
Arteta recently suggested that the midfielder could still have a future at the club, although there is a general feeling that he will be moved on before the end of the current transfer window.
According to Super Deporte, Valencia have contacted the Gunners to discuss the possibility of taking the Frenchman on loan for the 2020-21 campaign.
The report claims that Los Che's financial problems mean that they cannot commit to a permanent deal at this stage, but there is the possibility of agreeing a future purchase clause of €25m (£22.3m).
An altercation with Brighton & Hove Albion's Neal Maupay back in June led to Guendouzi losing his spot in the Gunners squad, and he ended last season training away from the first team.
The midfielder has scored once and provided five assists in 82 outings for Arsenal in all competitions.
