Arsenal are reportedly making progress in their efforts to sign Albert Sambi Lokonga after agreeing personal terms with the Anderlecht man.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is in the market for a new midfielder after Martin Odegaard and Dani Ceballos's returns to Real Madrid, while Granit Xhaka has hinted that a move to Roma is imminent.
Arsenal have since been heavily linked with a move for Anderlecht starlet Lokonga, and they are believed to have had an opening bid of £13.5m rejected by the Belgian outfit.
Now, journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that Arsenal have already agreed personal terms with Lokonga, who is keen to secure a move to the Emirates Stadium this summer.
Romano adds that Arsenal have come back with an upfront fee of €17.5m (£15m) for the 21-year-old, and Anderlecht could pocket a total of €22m (£18.9m) with potential add-ons.
Lokonga would therefore leave Anderlecht having scored three goals and assisted seven more in 78 appearances, and he made the bench for Belgium's friendly draw with Greece earlier this month.
