Newcastle United have reportedly identified Real Madrid forward Luka Jovic as a potential transfer target.
While Jovic cost Real in the region of £52m last summer, contributing just two goals and one assist in La Liga and the Champions League this season means that the 22-year-old will be allowed to leave the Bernabeu.
Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have previously been linked with the Serbia international, who could be open to finding a new club on a permanent or temporary basis.
However, at a time when they are being linked with a big-money takeover, 90min claims that Newcastle have entered the running for the frontman's signature.
The report claims that compatriot and former Magpies player Aleksandar Mitrovic has spoken highly of the club to his international strike partner.
West Ham United are also said to be keen on Jovic, partly due to a desire to partner him with ex-Eintracht Frankfurt teammate Sebastien Haller.
