AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani "hopes" that Manchester City will change their stance and accept a loan move for Carlos Tevez.

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has revealed that the Italian giants are no closer to bringing Carlos Tevez to the San Siro due to Manchester City's certainty that they will not agree to a loan move for the striker.

The Argentina international was thought to be closing in on a move to Serie A after it was reported that personal terms had been agreed.

"We know City's desire is to the sell the player, our proposal is to loan him and hope City say yes," Galliani told Sky Italia.

"I'm neither optimistic nor pessimistic. I can certainly say the player would prefer to be at Milan but you have to convince City to send him out on loan and that's not easy."

Galliani also confirmed that French side Paris Saint-Germain had alerted interest in the 27-year-old frontman.
