Vasek Pospisil fights back to beat Viktor Troicki

World number 56 Vasek Pospisil comes back from two sets behind to earn victory over Viktor Troicki in the Wimbledon fourth round.

Vasek Pospisil has reached the Wimbledon quarter-finals with a stunning five-set victory over Viktor Troicki.

Troicki, the 22nd seed, looked on course to progress after taking the first two sets, before Pospisil powered through the final three sets to run out a 4-6 6-7 6-4 6-3 6-3 winner.

The opening set was dominated by serve, with just 11 points being registered by the returning player in 10 games, but Troicki won four of them in one game, breaking the Pospisil serve and moving into an early lead.

Pospisil created three opportunities to break during the second, but Troicki saved each of them before taking the set 7-4 in a tie-break.

However, Pospisil, who had defeated Great Britain's James Ward in the last 32, broke for the first time in the match in the third and that was enough for the Canadian to extend the encounter into a fourth set.

The world number 56 broke two more times to take the fourth set, but the opening stages of the decider saw both men give little away behind their own delivery.

In the eighth game, though, Pospisil stole the decisive break before serving out the match to secure his first appearance in the last eight of a major tournament.
