Adrian Mannarino through to third round after John Isner forced to retire

Mannarino through, Isner retires

Adrian Mannarino has moved into the third round of Wimbledon after his opponent John Isner was forced to retire with a knee injury.

Play had just got underway on court number three at SW19, with Isner taking his first service match, but after landing awkwardly the American required his trainer on court.

Despite restarting the game with Mannarino winning his service match, the number 18 seed was forced to bow out of the contest, putting the Frenchman through to the next round.

Isner overcame his first test in the Grand Slam with a straight-sets win over Evgeny Donskoy.
