Edmund into last 32 for first time

British hopeful Kyle Edmund has reached the third round of Wimbledon for the first time by beating qualifier Bradley Klahn in straight sets.

The last remaining Briton in the singles draw claimed a 6-4 7-6(0) 6-2 victory on Centre Court and will now face Novak Djokovic in the last 32.

After breaking Klahn in a nine-minute opening game, doing so after a double-fault from his opponent, Edmund held and took his second set point.

Both men held in a tight second set, but it was the home favourite who was more clinical in the tie-break as he came out on top 7-0.

Edmund continued his good form at SW19 by seeing the job through without dropping a set, with a huge forehand proving to be enough to convert his match point.
