Mirjana Lucic beats Marion Bartoli to spot in round three

Marion Bartoli is beaten in straight sets by Mirjana Lucic in the second round at Wimbledon.

Marion Bartoli's Wimbledon campaign has come to an end after Mirjana Lucic secured a 6-4 6-3 victory.

The 30-year-old started off better then her French opponent on the grass court by executing a number of powerful shots and holding her serve well in the first set.

After grabbing a crucial break of serve, the Croatian professional pushed on to grab the opening set and take the lead in SW19.

Bartoli made more of an impact in the second set and managed to hold her serve well but struggled to find a break, which Lucic was able to take advantage of.

Despite a tougher second set, Lucic grabbed the set and booked a spot in the third round of the elite tournament.
