Serena Williams happy with display against Venus Williams

Serena happy with display against Venus

Serena Williams has insisted that it "doesn't get any easier" facing sister Venus after she came through in straight sets on Monday afternoon.

The world number one broke four times on the way to a 6-4 6-3 triumph, and the younger of the two siblings has revealed that her job was made easier by her "consistent" serving display on Centre Court.

The 33-year-old told BBC Sport: "I think I served well today, I didn't hit huge serves, I hit one big serve, I was consistent.

"Venus was playing really well. It definitely doesn't get easier facing her. Today I was out there and I was like 'wow I'm 33 and she's 35, I don't know how many more opportunities we'll get' so I just took the moment in.

"It was really good for me to get it done in straight sets. I just want to put it behind me and move forward."

The five-time champion will play either Victoria Azarenka or Belinda Bencic in the quarter-finals.
